So here are the last pictures from Frankfurt! Although the weather was very cold (especially compared to the weather we have in London at the moment..) we strolled along the river Main on Sunday. We walked along the southern side of the river so we could see the skyline on the other side and walked past the majority of Frankfurt's museums.
The Portikus is also a museum, located on an island in the middle of the river - you get there from the bridge :)
Sachsenhausen is a really nice part of town and they have a lot of the traditional apple wine restaurants. For those of you who don't know, Frankfurt is famous for its apple wine and they have a lot of restaurants who serve it along side traditional dishes from the region.
Here it is: you usually drink the apple wine out of those types of glasses and the traditional dish is a schnitzel with green sauce and Bratkartoffeln (which are potato dice fried in a saucepan with some bacon and onion). It was the first time I tried this sauce and I loved it! It is made with at least 11 or so odd herbs and it tastes so fresh!
We went to Wagner's on Schweizer Strasse for those who are planning a trip to Frankfurt!
Then to finish it off we went to Dulce - a chocolate shop which also sells homemade ice cream and divine coffee shakes! We tasted the ice cream and it is so good! They only use the freshest ingredients for their ice cream and no more sugar than needed. Which is great because I hate obnoxiously sweet "fake" ice cream! I really want to go back to Frankfurt to eat more of that ice cream, haha!
Hope you enjoyed these pictures and as promised I will post a regular outfit post soon!
Have a great first December!
