So the next stop on the cruise was St Malo in Brittany in France! We were lucky with the weather (not a given this summer..) and had a lovely day touring the surroundings.
First up was Cancale, the capital of oysters!
This is where the oysters are literally harvested. It was low tide when we went there so you can see how they are grown in the ocean.
And if you have great eyes you can spot a very famous landmark in the distance!
Yummy! There are a lot of restaurants along the beach in Cancale but right by the ocean are a bunch of "oyster shacks" where they give you the freshest (and cheapest) oysters and they literally just open them for you (if you want lemon you pay extra) and then you can enjoy them right on a pile of oyster shells!
Me enjoying the fresh oysters in the wind! For those interested, I am wearing white jeans by Bershka, silver linen Tshirt by Bel Air, light blue jean jacket by H&M, LV Neverfull MM and RayBan wayfarers
Wrong or right focus, however you want to look at it ;)
And then we drove all the way to Normandy and visited the famous Mont Saint Michel (which you could spot in one of the previous pictures).
It is basically a town built on an island (now connected by a street) with a famous cathedral up on top. I took more pictures inside but since it was during summer it was packed! I think it is magical to look at from a far but will all the tourists it took a bit of the charm away unfortunately!
Next stop was Dinan - a beautiful Breton village! We had a really nice stroll through the town and enjoyed gorgeous crepes and galettes (a kind of savoury crepe)
.. and we also enjoyed the yummy local cider (which is served in cups and looks like tea!)
Let me know if you have ever been here and what you enjoyed most!

Looks like so much fun - especially enjoying fresh oysters! What was the name of the cruise you went on? I really want to go on one now :-)
